About

I write about stories that become addictive fast — and why they work.

With InsideVerticals, I combine journalistic experience, social media instinct, and a German perspective on a format that is growing rapidly around the world: Vertical Dramas. I’m not only interested in what is being told, but also in why certain tropes, characters, and conflicts pull us in so quickly. Why does one tiny micromoment stay with us? Why can a 90-second episode be enough to make us emotionally invested? And what does all of this say about role models, viewing habits, and communities?

Stories have always been part of my life — both professionally and personally. Through my work in the entertainment and convention industry, I have seen how powerful fans, communities, and direct audience engagement can be. As an editor-in-chief and press spokesperson, I have conducted interviews, developed topics, supported media work, and learned how to tell stories in a way that truly reaches people. My experience in social media, especially with German-speaking audiences, has also shaped my view: What works? What creates resonance? And what actually stays with people?

My academic background in educational sciences and my training as a specialist in autism also influence the way I look at stories. I pay attention to how characters are written, which role models are being portrayed, and how differently people can perceive the same content.

Alongside InsideVerticals, I am currently writing a novel with neurodiverse characters — because I believe good stories can do more than entertain. They can make visible what is often overlooked.

With InsideVerticals, I explore the stories, creators, platforms, and opportunities behind the short drama boom: accessible for fans, insightful for the industry, and relevant for anyone who wants to better understand the German market.
